The Trust were approached by Battersea Dogs’ Home in 2008 to make a donation to assist with the ongoing refurbishments. The trustees visited Battersea Dogs’ Home on a number of occasions and not only did they like what they saw but were very impressed by the care, attention and rehabilitation programme that Battersea had in place. Consequently the trust elected to give a substantial donation to Battersea Dogs’ Home which part funded their new expansion. Battersea’s appreciation was shown as the trustees were invited to meet the Queen at the formal opening.
